Survey of participants of NAB 2016 Exhibition
Kentaro Yamamoto, Deputy General Director of E-Globaledge Corporation company, exclusively representing Ikegami equipment in Russia and CIS countries, answers to the questions of the “TKT” (Technics of Cinema and Television”) magazine
1. What new solutions and products your company is presenting at NAB 2016 exhibition?

1. We are in the forefront of innovation and we present the super high-definition 8K SHK-810 camera, equipped with a Super 35mm CMOS sensor. At the same time we demonstrate a wide range of products that offer high performance, exceptional image quality and user-friendly functionality. First of all, it is a new camera system - Ikegami UHK-430 with the "native" 4K-resolution (this is the first model in the new series Unicam XE). It acquired the matrix 2/3 inches, equipped with B4 bayonet mount and allows to install 2/3 inch HD-lens. To use large lenses SE-U430 adapter is provided.
Our exposition also covered:
- A new compact hypersensitive HDL-F3000 camera system;
- 3 Sensor Full HD high-speed camera system Hi-Motion II;
- The latest models of Unicam HD series camera systems;
- New MCP-300 Master Panel ;
- New 4K monitor with a diagonal of 31 inches;
- Multi-format flat LCD-monitors and OLED master monitors.
2. Among our Moscow clients are VGTRK, TV channels "NTV", "RBC», Russia Today. In addition, we serve broadcasters in different cities of Russia and post-Soviet countries: Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan.
During the exhibition at our booth interesting meetings and negotiations with our existing and potential customers were organized.
3. This year, the growing degree of debate about the spread of 4K, and we are seeing increased interest of potential customers for equipment that supports this format.
4. The crisis in Russian economy significantly hampers the development of 4K. But video production in 4K resolution is rapidly increasing volumes in other countries. Now Ikegami company closely deals with Ikegami 8K technology. As we have already stated publicly, the first in the world 8K OB Van, equipped Ikegami SHK-810 - 8K portable camera systems was delivered in September last year for NHK TV company. Ikegami's efforts to develop 8K broadcast equipment are focused on achieving extremely high resolution combined with the known ability of the company to provide image processing with wide dynamic range.
