The HDK-790EXIII (Studio Camera) and HDK-79EXIII (Portable Camera) both employ newly developed 2/3-inch 2.3 million pixel 1080i AIT (Advanced Interline Transfer) CCD image sensors. The AIT CCD sensor employed in the HDK-790EXIII/HDK-79EXIII achieves better smear level and higher sensitivity than FIT CCD image sensors, which until now have been employed as a standard in top end HDTV broadcast cameras. Furthermore, Ikegamifs original video processing circuit technology maximizes the performance of the AIT CCDs, achieving 60dB SNR in HDTV. The HDK-790EXIII/HDK-79EXIII are top-of-the-line full digital HDTV camera systems which realize higher picture quality with exceptional operating capability and extensive system flexibility.
Features
Incorporating newly developed CCD drive and CCD sampling circuitry, high reliability is achieved.
Employing AIT CCDs and advanced circuit technology, maximum GAIN-UP of+54dB is available as an option.
16bit A/D converters maximize the color gradation of the darker parts of the picture in the gamma processing, providing more natural color in the blacks.
Using a sophisticated, highly integrated IC to provide full digital processing of all the camera processing functions gives a stable, high quality picture.
The Fine Detail (DTL) function makes the picture more realistic by compressing the detail edge component when shooting high contrast scenes. Highlight DTL and several other DTL functions are also available.
