The HDK-97ARRI, Ikegami’s latest broadcast-style HDTV production camera with digital cinema characteristics wins the IABM Design & Innovation Awards 2013. The Award ceremony has taken place on Saturday September 14th during the IBC 2013 Exhibition in Amsterdam.
The HDK-97ARRI is a full broadcast HDTV system camera with the innovative use of a single, large Super 35mm format CMOS Optical sensor.
This allows multi-camera productions to operate in a conventional broadcast manner with a vision engineer operating multiple cameras, while the pictures produced have the digital cinema characteristics of shallow depth of field, clean highlights, low noise and natural skin tones. The camera is the result of collaboration between Ikegami and ARRI.
